Dubai Desert Triathlon combines running, cycling and horse riding at endurance levels.
Dubai Desert Triathlon will showcase a unique combination of two of the traditional triathlon disciplines, running and cycling, in unison with an endurance horse ride.
The event will kick off at 6am with an endurance horse ride of a 25km loop, followed by a 25km cycling stage on the Dubai Cycle Path, then a 5km desert run through the spectacular desert and finishing in the DIEC (Dubai International Endurance City).
Entry is open to anyone interested in participating in any or all of the three disciplines, as an individual triathlete or as a member of a team, provided that horse riders are registered endurance riders with a horse. Men and women, and juniors (16-18yrs), who would like to compete in a team but do not have their own are encouraged to enter in their discipline or disciplines of choice (cycling, running or horse riding) and will be linked with other entrants to form a team of similar ability.

Format:
200 teams made up of three athletes per team; Cyclist, Runner and Horse Rider:
- Horse Ride: 25 km looped track. Transition at DIEC to
- Cycle: 25 km on Dubai Cycle Path. Transition at DIEC to
- Run: 5 km Desert Trail Run
Timings:
- 6:00 AM – 25 km Endurance Horse Ride
- 6:45 AM – 25 km Cycle (30-45 Mins)
- 7:30 AM – 5 km Run (20-30 Mins)
- Finish – 8:05 AM

Dubai International Endurance City, Dubai
ENTRIES
- Open to men, women and juniors to participate as individuals or as a team, cycling, running and horse riding. Horse riders must hold a valid license.(Juniors 16-18)
- Entrants can participate in more than one discipline. Teams can be male, female and junior and any combination.
- Endurance horses and riders to be supplied by Meydan and Dubai Equestrian Club stables (licenced riders only )
- Free Entry to all by logging onto www.dubaideserttriathlon.com. Number of entries limited to the number of riders/horses provided by Meydan/Dubai International Endurance City
- Individual athletes can register themselves and the organizing committee will assist in making up a team with other individuals
- Teams will be introduced to each other (cyclists, runners and horse riders) at pre event function)
