Rashid School for Boys has been providing high quality education in Dubai for more than twenty five years. Rashid School for Boys offers an outstanding education for Emirati students aged 3-18 years and have developed our own curriculum which combines the best of the UK National Curriculum, UAE Ministry of Education and our own courses, to provide a lively, exciting and relevant education for the future leaders of Dubai.
This website will give you an opportunity to find out more about our school and, whether you are a student, parent, member of staff or a visitor, I am sure you will find the content interesting, informative and helpful.
Our curriculum is based on parts of the English National Curriculum combined with Islamic Studies and Arabic for the UAE Ministery of Education. We then adapt this combination to help it meet the needs of our Emirati, bilingual students. We write many of our own courses and curriculum development is a key aspect of life at RSB.
The majority of our pupils join RSB at the age of 3 or 4 and stay with us for 14 years. Our Foundation Stage gives them a wonderful introduction into the school with a strong emphasis on play, practical learning, social skills and communication in both Arabic and English.
The Primary Section is divided into Key Stage One, which takes boys up to the end of Year 2 and Key Stage Two which continues to the end of Year 6, when they then transfer to the Secondary Section. Students enter for the British GCSE examinations at the end of Year 11 and then move to Year 12. In Year 12 students can follow our one year High School Diploma course or study for UK AS levels and A-levels.
