“The public car parks are subject to fees from 8am until midnight from Saturday to Thursday, but will be free around prayer times to give worshippers peace of mind,” said Obaid Al Tunaiji, director general of Sharjah Municipality.
Ramadan is the month of revelation from Allah for all Muslims around the world. Believers will mostly indulge in worshipping Allah, The almighty, and reciting Quran. The region has introduced some considerations in parking rules and regulations during Ramadan to worship peacefully for the believers.
Ramadan Parking Timings Sharjah 2023
The cultural capital of UAE, Sharjah has announced paid parking during the holy month from 8 am until midnight from Saturday to Thursday. Parking will be free for one hour around five prayer times throughout Ramadan in Sharjah. Although it is free parking on Fridays except for car parks in zones flagged with blue sign boards.
It is also clearly mentioned by authorities that no such arrogant or indecent behavior will be entertained during Ramadan free parking time. Rules are to be strictly abided; double parking or blocking of other cars are punishable. Inspectors are appointed by the authority for checking and to avoid violation of the rules. Sharjah Municipality has opened hotline 993 for public for reporting any violations or indecent behavior.
