The Palm Oasis Park Dubai

The Palm Oasis Park Dubai – Dubai, UAE.

The Palm Oasis Park was inaugurated near Al Awir roundabout. The park is classified as a specialized educational park that reflects the UAE’s heritage and stretches over an area of 7.5 hectares. The project was completed at a cost of Dh24.3 million.

The park was inaugurated by Shaikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum as part of Dubai Municipality’s programme marking the 36th plantation week. The park was designed to host heritage, cultural and marketing activities, such as a date festival that will be specific for the emirate of Dubai.

The park’s attractions include a lake at its centre, which leads to various seating areas and a cafeteria that can be accessed by crossing wooden bridges. Also available are playgrounds designed for children aged two to 12, in addition to a playground for children with special needs.

The park contains 39 different types of palm trees, carefully gathered from all the seven Emirates to be housed in one park and is designed in a way that allows for new types of trees to be planted. The park makes use of solar energy to power up its lighting system. A total of 1,240 palm trees were planted in the park, in addition to 60 ornamental trees and 32,979 ornamental shrubs.
