Manar Abu Dhabi Lulu Island- Public light art exhibition
Manar Abu Dhabi is a Public Art Abu Dhabi program including new commissions and site-specific light sculptures, projections, and immersive installations by local as well as international artists. It provides residents and visitors with opportunities to engage with stunning artworks and experience the transformative power of light.
Manar Abu Dhabi’s maiden edition will be held under the subject Grounding Light, headed up by Reem Fadda, Director of Abu Dhabi Culture Programming and Cultural Foundation, and Artistic Director of Public Art Abu Dhabi, and Alia Zaal Lootah, Curator of Public Art, and will offer an immersive, interactive experience.
When is the public light art display “Manar Abu Dhabi” taking place?
The UAE capital’s mangroves and archipelagos will be illuminated by Manar Abu Dhabi from November 15, 2023, until January 31, 2024. An exhibition with the topic “Grounding Light” will take place all around the city. New commissions as well as site-specific light sculptures, projections, and immersive artworks created by regional and global artists will be on display.

Boat Schedule
Head to the boat dock at the Eastern Mangroves Promenade, next to Anantara Eastern Mangrove Hotel, purchase the boat tickets, and you can see 3 installations during the boat trip.
How to get to Samaliyah Island?
The first boat leaves the Yas Bay Dock to Samaliyah Island at 5:10 PM. And the last boat leaves at 10:30 PM.

How to get to Lulu Island?
Head to Al’Alam Street and follow the directional signages to Lulu Island. The boat trip is 15 minutes long. The remaining experience is a 2.3-kilometre walking journey where we can experience 10 different light artwork installations. Some major artworks are Luciferin Shores, Flying Ships, and Collider.

How to get to Corniche?
Here, you can explore the breathtaking creations of 9 artists. Some of the major artworks in Corniche Road are Abu Dhabi Dots consisting of 20 spotlights, in four colours, Coral Alchemy (Acropora Grove), and Memories of a Harbor.

How to get to Louvre Abu Dhabi?
Head to Louvre Abu Dhabi, Saadiyat Island, then head to Louvre Abu Dhabi Garden to watch the show which lasts up to 25 minutes.
