Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Dubai 2019, launched by Manny Pacquiao, features both a regional commercial and barangay-level league with teams on the commercial side to have a home locality in addition to a corporate sponsor. The 3 main teams include Davao Occidental Tigers, Batangas Tanduay Athletics & Imus Bandera with special attendance of the Boxing World Champion Sen and Manny Pacquiao with other celebrities Gerald Anderson, Derek Ramsay, Jayjay Helterbrand & Bobby Pacquio. MPBL aims to grow to incorporate North and South conferences where top teams from both divisions can take on teams from the Philippine Basketball Association.
