Kempinski Ajman Iftar Tent 2016 – Review
Kempinski Ajman has always surprised us whether we are enjoying our staycation or at this time when we went for their Ramadan Iftar tent 2016.
It is a perfect place to experience the beauty and serenity of Ramadan. The atmosphere is just phenomenal. They offer traditional favorites and international inspired Iftar buffet and a’la carte Suhoor experience and being famously known as the biggest Sea-View Iftar tent like no other in Northern emirates.
Receiving an invitation from Kempinski Ajman brought a smile to our face and we accepted the invite without thinking twice, knowing that it is located at end of ajman.. thats the trust we have with Kempinski Ajman hotel.
Upon arriving, we were welcomed by Amira Omran the PR and she lead us to the Ifar tent, the tent not only showcased the variety of Middle Eastern specialties with interactive cooking live stations and arabic sweets and desserts but the highlight of the tent was the magnificent view of sunset and the open beach.
Each table was filled with the Ramadan essentials dates, dry figs and apricot placed to open the iftar. All the station were showcasing the admiration of Ramadan spirit and ready to feast the guests. The different stations that were ready to conquer your palate and appreciate different flavours were:
- Salad Station
- Soup Station
- Juice Station
- Main Courses
- Traditional Arabic Items Station
- Pasta Station
- Dessert Station
The Salad station had large variety of oriental and international salads, cold and hot mezzeh ranging from my all time favourite hummos, moutabel, pickles, marinated feta cheese, fattoush, tabouleh, stuffed vine leaves, kibbeh, spinach fatayer and cheese sambousek and the list goes on. Everything was fresh and tasty. The soup station had two flavours lentil and chicken corn soup that were amazing as a starter.
The Main Course Counter offered fish sayadieh, mixed grill, sauted vegetables, chicken, grilled beef, grilled hammour with coriander sauce, lamb kausa mahshi and vermicelli rice. It was a well balanced course for vegetarian and nonvegetarian.
Iftar without the traditional slow roasted lamb ouzie with oriental rice is incomplete, me not being the fan of it so didn’t try it next to it was the shawarma and manakesh setup and they were made fresh you can opt to have it in the saj bread, the famous street style shawarma is a must try.. it was delicious.
The live station for different kinds of pasta was popular among all the guest, you can order and make it as you like with different sauces including white or red, we really enjoyed it. The food was amazing, the food was like really good and the ambiance and service was exceptional.
Buffet without the dessert section is incomplete. They had wide varieties of desserts displayed beautifully. The dessert counter not only offered traditional Arabic desserts, there was also a selection of international dessert to name a few that i dived into was Kunafa it was just mind blowing then there was luqaimat it was cooked and made perfect.. soft, sweet and chewable also tried the chocolate mousse and ended with umm ali and katayef with nuts. Yes we gained few pounds after all this hihi.
And we ended our fantastic buffet with moroccan tea. Everything was very colorful, light, fresh, healthy and delicious.
