Etihad Rail is a 1200-kilometre network that extends into the United Arab Emirates from the border of Saudi Arabia to the border of Oman. The railway network was built in three stages. The first stage commenced in 2016, and the second phase will be operational by 2024. Moreover, the length of the railway is 256 km and it includes 29 bridges, 60 crossings and 137 drainage channels.

The passenger train connects 11 main cities and it includes Sila to Fujairah, including Al Ruwais, Al Mirfa, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid, and Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi-Dubai: 50 Minutes.
Abu Dhabi-Fujairah: 1 hour, 40 minutes.
Dubai-Fujairah: 50 minutes

The project is worth AED 50 billion and aims to provide convenient transportation for both passengers and goods across the UAE. Etihad Rail also provides safe, convenient, and appropriate services. It mainly concentrates on the economy and growth of the country. They also undertake a new project, which is the UAE-Oman JV, which connects Sohar Port to the UAE National Rail Network.
Etihad Rail and Oman Rail Joint Venture
Etihad Rail along with Oman Rail establishes a new joint venture. The railway network will link the Sohar Port to the UAE National Rail Network. The project is of a total value of 3 billion USD. Moreover, the length of the railway route is 303 km. And the travelling time is 100 minutes.
