Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2023 – An event full of ideas, of conversations, and of stories being written. Come, uncover the secrets of writing at the 15th edition of the region’s largest celebration.
Emirates Airline Festival of Literature had a participation of 65 authors in the year it was launched. Since then the festival has been attracting thousands of visitors every year. The Festival promotes reading as a healthy habit which in turn improves memory and cognitive ability. It nurtures a sense of passion for literature not only in the UAE but also across the region through a program of different cultural initiatives.
So friends, come let us celebrate literature with world leaders, thinkers and icons at Mohammed bin Rashid Library and at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City from 1st- 6th February, 2023.
This year’s theme of the festival is ‘Old Friends’, bringing together the world’s greatest writers and thinkers in more than 300 sessions. Attending the event includes some of the prominent authors Jeffrey Archer, Indian politician Shashi Tharoor and novelist Mohsin Hamid to name a few. Emmy-award winning actor Brian Cox, Jurassic Park Director and screenwriter David Koepp, one of India’s top journalists Barkha Dutt, and many more will be present to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Literary Festival.

What else can you expect at Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2023?
The festival event starts off with the Desert Stanzas that transports poets from around the world to perform amongst the sand dunes, where you can enjoy poetry under a canopy of stars.
Ahlam Bolooki, Festival Director for the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature stated a magical evening of music, dance and performance dedicated to Kahlil Gibran, mouthwatering meal with Bobby Chinn, and many more special events. Also the Big Fat LitFest Quiz for the bibliophiles and book lovers.
