Activities in Khor Fakkan Beach

New activities in Khor Fakkan Beach as part of celebrations of Sharjah’s UNESCO World Book Capital 2019 title.  The events marked the launch of the fourth phase of the Sharjah Beach Library initiative in Khor Fakkan.

The event is Organised by the Sharjah World Book Capital Office (SWBC Office) in cooperation with Knowledge without Borders (KwB), the launch of the fourth phase sought to lure beachgoers of the pristine beaches of Khor Fakkan into the fascinating world of the written word.

The first phase was inaugurated at Al Khan beach in August this year. The second and third phases were launched at Al Khan 2 and Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC), respectively.

In appreciation of its vital role in supporting books and promoting reading, UNESCO named Sharjah as the World Book Capital 2019
