This the National curriculum of England that establishes educational system which covers children aged 5 to 16. The curriculum is divided into four key stages. At stage 1 and 2 children are routinely tested.
At GCSE level students are required to take English, Maths and Science. They can opt to take up to seven more examinations. After 11 years of school, students have to appear for General Certificate of Secondary Examination (GCSE) or the International GCSE.
