Fujairah Rotana Hotel, UAE – Review
Another staycation in our long list was, Fujairah Rotana Resort and Spa.. ideally located on Al Aqah beach.. inlines with other resorts such as Le Meridien and Miramar. This was the last one in Al Aqah league that we planned to stay and we did and conquered, so whoever plans to stay in Al Aqah area.. can consult us free of charge 🙂
Fujairah Rotana Resort & Spa is a secluded retreat in a magnificent setting, the resort beautifully blends in with the local landscape. Since it is only four stories high at its tallest point, the hotel does not block your view of the adjacent mountains or Indian ocean. The grounds are also nicely spread out, so the entire resort gives the roomy and relaxed feeling. We being fans of resorts more than hotels, so this one was right on the spot. It is perfect when you just want to leave the world behind and run into a place where you can just stare at the sea, the mountains and the stars! So where was i yes, after long distance having 2 pit stops one for petrol and other for to eat we finally reached our destination around 2 PM just on time.
The entrance is grand as you see the main building while entering, we gave our car valet and did a quick check-in.. Upon checking in, we were greeted with smiles, hellos and a welcome drink of some kind (tropical fruit juice i guess) and wet towel that was well needed after a long drive 🙂 As the counter was not crowded and our room was ready too. Quickly we were transferred with our luggage same time to our room and guess what in buggy yes as our room was not in the main building. Regardless we enjoyed the short buggy ride 🙂
Our Premier king room was located on the first floor that was the highest floor :p as we were not on the main building. The room size was good, clean and had Colonial style decor, room also included a balcony overlooking the pool and fountain garden what NO it didn’t sadly the view was blocked with large full grown trees with its branches almost touching the balcony, so no view 🙁 Apart from that as usual like other hotel rooms this also included a 32-inch LCD TV with multiple channels, tea / coffee making facilities, mini bar, safe, and coffee table with chair.
Its music to the ears when the hotel or resort has a kids club supervised by the caring staff. And yes there is a Flipper’s Kids Club where you can take your kids or drop them to have fun, the play space is quite large it has two rooms filled with books, toys, TV and what not hihi it will keep your kids busy for long.
Apart from this, the hotel also has the award winning Zen the Spa to rejuvenate yourself and be transported to a serene retreat of tranquility. It has eight single treatment rooms, wet hammam, dry hammam, rain forest shower, vichy shower, ice cave and rasul. The spa is open daily from 09:00 AM until 09:00 PM.
After settling down we headed down to our mean my favourite place the swimming pool ooh yeah, the pool was good right temperature for a dip and the pool has a bar from where you can order alcoholic\ non-alcoholic drinks or something to eat as you enjoy the bright sunshine and awesome water. After spending sometime in pool, we decided to have a look at the rest of the hotel.
The private beach was huge and it was very well maintained and clean beautifully sandy and secluded.. It was quite hot so staying away from the beach was the better option hihi
After coming back to our room and as the sun sets we sat in balcony talking and relaxing after a while we started hearing music sound coming out loud from far away, so decided to go down and see what’s goin on. As we followed the sound we stumbled upon this open bar Sharkey’s and DJ was playing awesome music and guess what they have seatings in the beach area next to the bar and they were serving Sheesha and i was like yessss 😀 So we sat there for sometime enjoyed our sheesha and music but that was not for long as the DJ stopped playing music by 10 PM, that was a disappointment.
Last but not least the morning buffet breakfast at Mozaique and breakfast is one thing we usually never miss or let me put this way.. we try not to miss 😉 The buffet breakfast was amazing, they had vast variety of everything hold and cold for a perfect breakfast. Notable items on the buffet included spice-infused fresh fruits, waffles, desserts, cheese and my favourites pancakes and. There was also a live cooking station for omelettes;) One of the best hotel breakfast buffet we had, thumbs up!

Overall we had a great time at Fujairah rotana resort and spa that offers outstanding value for money and its fantastic location. Families on a budget? Looking for a short and easy staycation in UAE? Give Rotana a try!
FYI.. At reception they say WiFi is not free and to use in the room we have to pay for it, so just a quick tip the WiFi still works and also always ask for the room on the main building facing the ocean, if you want to wake up to an awesome view.
