Climate in Dubai – The weather condition in Dubai, UAE
Dubai is near the line of the Tropic of Cancer. Hence the climate in the region is warm and sunny. Since the location is in the Northern Desert area, Dubai has a tropical desert climate.
Half of the year is summer season and other six months is considerably cold.
Summers are extremely hot and humid, with an average high around 40 °C (104 °F) and overnight lows around 30 °C (86 °F). The highest recorded temperature in Dubai is 52. The summer season starts from the month of April until September. The weather is too hot and humid. During the summer season, the normal temperature is around 40 degree celsius.
In the winter season, the normal daytime temperature is average of 25 degree celsius and night time is comparatively cool. It starts from the beginning of the month October and lasts till March .Winters are warm and short with an average high of 23 °C (73 °F) and overnight lows of 14 °C (57 °F). Winter clothes are required during this period at night if going for outdoor activities.
The months November, December, January and February is considered to be the peak of the winter season and very favorable for outdoor activities in the country.
Sandstorms
As an indication of climate change, a low pressure area develops over Dubai forcing strong winds. These winds, also known as Shamal (north) in Arabic called as sandstorms.
Dust storm sparks traffic chaos in some parts of the UAE. Police will alert the same to avoid hazardous situations.

Average range of climate in Dubai
October to March – 16 degree celsius to 30 degree celsius
April to September – 35 degree celsius to 50 degree celsius
Clothing
You have to select clothes according to the months weather conditions in Dubai.
If it is too hot select light cotton cloths, carry sun glass and sun protection creams to resist the UV rays.
During winter season you should wear a sweater or jackets to feel comfortable, especially during outdoor activities.
What can women wear in Dubai?
You might be able to wear what you want without being arrested. At the same time you should consider wearing clothes without being disrespectful to the local culture.
Since Dubai in UAE is a Muslim country, avoid wearing micro/mini skits and open shoulder or backless dresses. You should also avoid clothing that is too tight or see through. Cleavage should also be covered as much as possible.
In government buildings and mosques it is strict to cover from shoulder to knees which is not very hard to follow.
There is no rule to cover your head across all places other than Mosques.
