Magrudy\u2019s Retail Shops<\/h3>\n

Magrudy bookstore Dubai\u00a0began trading in 1975, and quickly became a central part of Dubai life. At first selling mainly educational toys and school supplies, children\u2019s books formed part of their\u00a0very first offering. By popular request, new categories were quickly added: mother and baby, cookery, fiction and so on. They\u00a0had to open a second shop to fit in all the books, which were by this point the biggest part of their\u00a0business.
\nAlthough Jumeirah remains the \u201cspiritual home\u201d of Magrudy\u2019s \u2013 still visited by the same customers who shopped with us as children in the Seventies and Eighties, now parents themselves \u2013 the ever-increasing demand for books in Dubai allowed us to begin opening new shops.<\/p>\n

Education and Wholesale Services<\/h3>\n

Magrudy\u2019s has also built up an excellent distribution and wholesale arm, supplying key accounts in the UAE and further afield. This is a fast expanding and important part of their\u00a0planned strategy for the future continued success of Magrudy\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Magrudy\u2019s is currently working on a franchise programme that unites its strategic objectives with potential franchisee\u2019s interests across respective GCC territories.<\/p>\n

They\u00a0are distributors for such leading brands as Filofax, Roger la Borde, Paperblanks, Orchard Toys, Santoro Graphics and Carte Blanche.<\/p>\n

Magrudy\u2019s Today<\/h3>\n

Being a family-run business with the needs of the local community always in mind, their\u00a0books are complemented by a wide range of cards, toys, stationery, and arts & crafts materials suitable for all ages, as well as school uniforms sold through their\u00a0Jumeirah and Al-Ittihad Branches. They\u00a0also actively work to encourage reading among nationals and residents alike, running books clubs for adults and children, inviting authors for signings, and working closely with local schools to promote reading as a path to knowledge.<\/p>\n
