WGES 2015 will build upon the key conclusions of WGES 2014, the most significant of which being the Dubai Declaration.
The Dubai Declaration is the strategic commitment underlying the development of the WGES, which has been formulated in alignment in with the long-term vision to develop Dubai into the ‘Capital of the Green Economy’.
WGES 2015 will be held under the theme “The Global Green Economy”, and aim to:
- Develop WGES as the premier international platform for Green Economy
- Follow up on commitments made through the Dubai Declaration
- Develop the WGES Public-Private Partnership and Green Economy Marketplace Platform
- Create strong linkages to the UN Climate Agreement 2015 through the Road to Paris, and Sustainable Development Goals 2015

3. Global Partnerships: Developing and supporting partnerships to facilitate green economy projects and assure that partners join forces to assure the successful resolution of climate change.
4. Innovation: Fostering and developing social, financial and business innovation; to develop the green economy and trigger successful actions and trends to combat climate change.
