The American Women’s Association of Dubai (AWA) is a nonprofit organization that seeks to provide support for women who are citizens or legal residents of the United States or who are spouses of U. S. citizens by sponsoring informational programs, arranging social functions, providing common interest groups, and promoting charitable activities for our members. The Arab Orthodontic Society is no exception. Although its conception was somewhat unusual, it eventually came to light in the year 1993 as the “Arab Orthodontic Society”. The highlight of achievements of a small group of Jordanian Orthodontists was the convening of the First Arab and Jordanian Orthodontic Congress in Amman on 29th of April, 1993. At that meeting, which hosted a large number of orthodontists from more than 10 Arab countries, the proposal of establishing the Arab Orthodontic Society (AOS) was unanimously adopted and approved by the Arab delegates. The Bylaws of the Society were approved during the third Arab Orthodontic Congress in Damascus, Syria, on 28th of October, 1997. As its name implies, the main aim of AOS is to promote co-operation between Arab colleagues and encourage continued education programs through regional and international orthodontic meetings and seminars.

The Arab Society of Certified Accountants (ASCA) was established on January12, 1984 as a non-profit professional accounting association at London, UK. It was formally registered in Amman on 24 February, 1994 under the name “The Arab Society of Certified Accountants”.

The International Bar Association (IBA), established in 1947, is the world’s leading organisation of international legal practitioners, bar associations and law societies.

UAE Society of Engineers was formally organized on April 03, 1979 by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs – Ministerial Decree No. 33 1979 tofacilitate the increasing demands in professional expertise and accreditation of the engineers in the UAE. The society is a semi- government sector and a non profit organization who strives to provide great services to its 23,000 members.

The Dubai Caledonian Society was founded more than 30 years ago with the goals of preserving and promoting the unique and exciting culture that Scotland and the Scots bring to every country they visit and live in.

The main aims of the Dubai Caledonian Society are to bring to Dubai and the UAE a taste of Scotland, to encourage multi national ties in both business and social arenas and to raise funds for charities both in Scotland, the UAE and elsewhere.

The Society welcomes everyone of Scots descent as well as those who have a strong interest in, or close connection with Scotland.

General Women’s Union includes six women associations and their several branches in the various areas of the State. These societies are communicating with each other to designate the broad lines of women activity in the State, within the essential policy of the General Women’s Union.
