PACS – Pan Arab Continence Society – Specialized society in Dubai

The Pan Arab Continence Society (PACS) is a specialized society that has been founded in 2004 to promote the educational and awareness programs of urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction for both the physicians and the patients.

The PACS is working in accordance to the International Continence Society (ICS) guidelines and will be in continuous contact with the ICS to extend the service of education and awareness to the Middle East region and the Arab countries.

The PACS meeting is held annually to keep the members updated with all the recent work concerning the field of male and female incontinence, female urology, vaginal fistula, voiding dysfunction and pelvic floor dysfunction.

The 1st meeting took place in Cairo (Egypt), on December 2004, the second meeting was held in Dubai (UAE) in December 2005 in collaboration with the International Continence Society. The 3rd meeting took place in Manama (Bahrain) on November 2006. The 4th meeting was held in Doha (Qatar) in December 2007. The 5th meeting was at the Dead Sea (Jordan) in December 2008. This year the meeting will take place in Sharm El Sheikh (Egypt) from February 4-6th, 2010 in collaboration with the International Continence Society. It was decided that the next meeting (again in collaboration with the International Continence Society will take place in Dubai (UAE) on February 3-5th, 2011.
