Founded by “Mama” Adelaida Cuellar, the uniqueness of El Chico is carved in the scrupulous passing on of Cuellar’s family recipe of Mexican favorites. Today, Cuellar’s recipes, work ethics and determination can still be found at the kitchen of El Chico. In 2008, the first El Chico Restaurant in Dubai was opened at The Walk in Jumeirah Beach Residence in celebration of the most colorful and joyous festivity in Mexico, Cinco De Mayo. In 2009, it opened its second restaurant at City Stars Mall in Cairo, Egypt.
Reflecting years of evolving with changing tastes and styles, El Chico promises to offer authentic Mexican experience – from a welcoming display of preserved heritage of artifacts and artful images on walls to a rustic wooden table and chairs complemented by colorful string lights hanged in the ceiling and a brick-styled open bar serving Mexican favorite mocktails.
