Dubai hosts it’s very first Food Festival around the city bringing the best culinary delights from around the world.
Dubai Food Festival 2014 runs from 21 February to March 15, 2014, bringing together some of the Emirate’s most popular business and consumer food events including Gulfood and Taste of Dubai, along with the inaugural editions of the Dubai Food Carnival and The Big Grill. Launched by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the festival will feature city-wide events, industry conferences and appearances from world-renowned chefs, plus a wide range food-related activities, tastings and events. It will showcase Dubai’s staggering array of culinary experiences, from Michelin-starred chefs to street food, drawn from the cuisines of more than 200 nationalities and participating restaurants.
Created for both residents of Dubai and visitors to the Emirate, the Dubai Food Festival celebrates and enhances Dubai’s position as the gastronomic capital of the region with more than 5,300 restaurants and places to eat, outposts from the world’s top chefs and a diverse number of cuisines. Now an annual fixture on Dubai’s calendar of events, the festival supports the food and restaurant sectors, as well as the tourism and hospitality industry, through increasing international awareness of Dubai as one of the world’s emerging culinary destinations.
The festival involves events such as Gulfood, Taste of Dubai and the Dubai Food Carnival while introducing new events such as The Big Grill and much more.
